On behalf of the Currumbin Beach Vikings SLSC we are all so deeply saddened with todayu2019s news of the tragic loss of one of our finest young members in Clyde Psaltis, taken from us early this morning, aged just 17. Our hearts go out to his family, mum Fiona and father Phil, sister Haidee and little brother Billy and all of his amazing friends. Clyde was a very popular and well like member of the Vikings and our special Currumbin community, an active patrolling member, who joined the Club in 2009. Clyde also participated in Currumbinu2019s Surf Sports program in both Beach and Ski events, winning a Bronze Medal at this yearu2019s Gold Coast City Championships in the Under/19 Beach Flags event. Clyde will be sadly missed by all the members of our close knit Currumbin Surf Life Saving Club. R.I.P Clydeu2026one of the boysu2026a champion in every sense of the word and a young man taken far too soonu2026. The Currumbin Junior Club will be open this afternoon from 5pm for any members and friends who wish to come together with the senior members of the club to share their thoughts and remember Clyde Psaltis.
